    Orchidsexual Symbol

Orchidsexual is a micro-label on the asexual spectrum. It can be used on it’s own or as an umbrella term. Orchidsexual is when an individual feels sexual attraction, but does not desire a sexual relationship or encounter. Someone who identifies with this may consider individuals sexually attractive, but lacks the want to have or dislikes having sexual experiences. Orchidsexual can be described as “the opposite of cupiosexual.” It is under the greysexual umbrella.

The romantic equivillent of orchidsexual is orchidromantic.

    Etymology

Orchidsexual was named after the orchid flower. The flower is often used to symbolize love, sex and fertility.

    Flag & History

Both the orchidsexual term and flag were coined on April 6th, 2021 by FANDOM user ringotheman. two flags were created at this time, colors holding the same meanings. Pink represents attraction, grey represents the asexual spectrum, purple represents sexual relationships, and black represents the lack of desire or unwanting. a simplified orchid outline is featured on the flags to acknowledge the term's etymology.
