Orchidsexual is a micro-label on the asexual spectrum. It can be used on it’s own or as an umbrella term. Orchidsexual is when an individual feels sexual attraction, but does not desire a sexual relationship. Someone who identifies with this may consider people sexually attractive, but lacks the want or need to have sexual experiences. Orchidsexual can be described as “the opposite of cupiosexual.”
The romantic equivillent of orchidsexual is orchidromantic.
Etymology
Orchidsexual was named after the orchid flower. The flower is often used to symbolize love, sex and fertility.
