Offgender is a gender in which someone feels most closely represented by a certain gender, but is not that gender. For example, an offboy would feel very close to the description of "boy" yet is not a boy. It can be likened to what the color off-white is to white. It may be similar to paragender or perigender.
History
The first offgender, offboy, and offgirl flags and symbols were designed by now unavailable Tumblr blog pride-flags-for-us. Later, offandro and offneutral flags and symbols were made by CandySkyez on January 17th, 2022.
Flag
The original flags were designed by pride-flags-for-us, depicting the respective symbols against a blank white background. New flags were designed by CandySkyez on January 17th, 2022. The border colours represent how the identity "borders" on being a certain gender, the gray represents disconnect and an "off" feeling, the yellow stripe represents disconnect from the gender binary, and the two surrounding stripes represent being "close" to a certain gender.
