Nesgender is a gender identity where one feels an overall disconnect from gender, but still uses gender labels that feel that they fit the best.

The grey gradient is to represent the overall disconnect from gender, with the two small “gender” lines in between to show that while one uses this gender label, they don’t actually connect with it.

Etymology

Nes- from the Russian word nesmotrya, meaning despite. Can be used as nesboy, nesgirl, nesfem, or just paired with your other label, example "nesgender genderflux"

History

The term nesgender was coined by an anonymous asker to tumblr user genderstalgia on November 12, 2020, for which they created the flag for.[1]
