    The Neagender flag.
    The Neagender flag.

Neagender refers to someone who's gender identity is connected to the void, but has some form of gendered component(s) inherently tied into it. This can mean gendered alignment, presentation, or just a vague connection. There are variations of neagender, such as neamasc, neafem, neanonbinary, and neaneu.

Neagender can be a modifer to someone's existing gender, or it can be a standalone. It can also be used alongside multigenders such as genderfluid or bigender. For multigender people who always experience a void-feeling in their genders, they may use neafluid and/or neabigender.

Neagender people may also identify as agender, gendervoid, neutrois, as well as nonbinary and/or transgender.

The void aspect described in neagender has been described as: "More than just nothingness, for some. It can also describe a void feeling, or it can describe some sort of aesthetic (like many other xenogenders). However, for many, it can just mean a lack of gender, or a distortion of gender."

Examples of what void may mean to someone using this label:

    • An actual void, like one in space
    • Space itself, or the deep ocean
    • Liminal spaces, like the backrooms
    • Genderless
    • Feeling somewhat like another gender, but distorted
    • A haze, fog, or vast feeling
    • Anything else you'd want it to mean, depending on your own experiences

    Flag

    The Neamasc flag.

The neagender flag was created by @pridewiki in 2020. Since then, the creator has made a blog for neagender, @neagender, where there have been edits and additions to the original. The same creator also made the flags for neamasc, neafem, neaneu, and neanonbinary.

The flag stripes are as follows: The black stands for the void, the blue stands for distortion and/or ambiguity, the light blue stands for personal identity, and the purple stands for the gendered component(s).
