The Masculina flag, created by cherrybirb on Discord.

Masculina is a gender term in which someone feels as if they are masculine, but in a feminine way. Another way this can be described is where someone feels as if they are mostly masculine, but still have or feel feminine aspects about themselves and choose to keep them. Individuals who identify as Masculina may each feel this gender differently from how other Masculina-identifying individuals feel this gender. Masculina can be defined in various ways, including, but not limited to:

    1. One who was AMAB (assigned male at birth), chooses to mostly identify with the gender they were assigned at birth with, but feels as if some particular aspects of themselves may be feminine.
    2. One who was AFAB (assigned female at birth), has transitioned to a masculine gender, but feels as if some particular aspect of themselves is feminine.
    3. One who was AIAB (assigned intersex at birth) or Varsex, feels as if they are mostly masculine, but also feels as if a feminine aspect of themselves is there.
    4. One is masculine-aligned but connected to femininity in some manner.
    5. One feels or is masculine but is more comfortable being perceived as feminine.
    6. One is Genderfluid(-aligned), but mostly experiences masculine and feminine genders. There are many more ways to describe this term.

If you identify as Masculina, you have permission to add your own perception of this gender.

This may or may not be an umbrella term of Bigender. Terms similar to Masculina include Neutra, Neutro, and Feminino, which are pages that are yet to be created.

    History

This term was coined by Miraheze user Mike7outlaw on March 21st, 2022. On March 12th, 2022, Discord user Jadenn (tag will not be shared unless given permission) posted an image to the LGBTA+ Wiki Central Discord server of the word "Masculine" being put into Google Translate (Spanish), then translating into two different forms, "Masculino" which is the correct term, and "Masculina", which is not grammatically correct in the Spanish language but made sense. Miraheze user Mike7outlaw then got the idea to coin this term.

    Flag

The flag has not yet been created. It will not be created by Mike7outlaw due to personal reasons. Other users may coin the flag themselves.

    Etymology

As stated in the History section, "Masculina" is the grammatically incorrect term of "Masculine" in English. The letter "A" is always feminine in Spanish, and the letter "O" is usually masculine in Spanish, but can also be considered neutral.
