    The marremin flag

Marremin is a gender identity that describes individuals who are female or female-aligned, but are aligned with femininity as well as neutrality. It's not the same as as neulier, as it isn't exclusively neutral-aligned.

The male/masculine-aligned counterpart to marremin would be sarculin.

    History

Marremin was coined along with sarculin on the Flight Rising forums by user scrybeoftech on Feburary 20th, 2022.[1] It was coined as the female/feminine-aligned counterpart to sarculin, as there were no previous terms that described an experience like sarculin, but for female individuals.

    Etymology

Marremin is derived from "marron", the French word for brown, and "féminin", a French adjective for female. Marron was chosen because brown is the result of mixing pink and green - the colors associated with femininity and neutrality respectively - and féminin to reference the female basis of the gender.

    Flag

The flag was created along with the term by the coiner. The pink and green triangles represent the feminine-aligned and neutral-aligned aspects of the gender respectively and how they link together to make one gender. The white arrows represent inclusivity of demigender/multigender/genderfluid/etc. individuals who may identify with the term in some way. The arrow shape itself doesn't have any meaning and was only used for aesthetic purposes. Both pinks in the background represent the female basis of the gender.
