MOGAI (Marginalized Orientations Genders And Intersex) or MOGII (Marginalized Orientations Gender Identities and Intersex) is a proposed acronym that includes everyone whose sexuality or gender deviates from the "standard" of heterosexual, perioriented, cisgender, dyadic. The term is synonymous with LGBT, and was designed to be a simpler version of it, since MOGAI does not list out all the identities included it is inclusive of all minor, and lesser known identities, and does not have to add extra letters, like is commonly seen with the LGBT acronym.
MOGAI is not as widely used as LGBT or it's variants, such as GSRM (Gender, sexual and romantic minorities). MOGAI is most commonly seen online when talking about lesser known identities. This is due to controversy over the usefulness of hyper-focusing on one's identity; even though it is useful for many LGBT individuals who can't find names for who they are.
