Laverian, formerly known as asterian, is a term used to describe men, man-aligned or masculine-aligned individuals who are attracted to men, man-aligned or masculine-aligned individuals. The term was created as alternative to achillean regarding discourse around its namesake. This term can be used to describe both homosexual/gay and multisexual/m-spec individuals.
It's name and colour scheme are derived from the lavender flower, a historically symbolic flower to MLM and GNC individuals.
History
Not much is known about the creator or the origins of the term, as the first post to ever mention it was deleted. One of the only other mentions of it was found on a post calling it the asterian flag.[1] However the term asterian was already taken and so the name was changed.
Flag
The flag was created by Twitter user megmasterz on July 1st, 2020 and the stripe meanings were updated the next day.[2]
An alternate flag was created by Twitter user AsterianOTD on August 30th, 2021.[3] It was based on megamasterz's flag and the stripes were based off the Bear Brotherhood's pride flag.
Another alternate flag was created by Fandom user Idrisney29 on September 1st, 2021.
