This wikia is meant to be a resource of members of the LGBTA+ community, people who or questioning, or anyone who's curious. This wikia is specifically meant to explain identities that are often unknown or unheard of, and therefore have very little information about them elsewhere online.
Where To Start
LGBTA, that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and asexual/aromantic/agender. It's an adaptation of the initialism LGBT, which originated in the 1990s. It may be used to refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual or non-cisgender. Some popular variants include LGBTQ, LGBTIA, LGBTQA, and LGBTIAQ. The Q stands for questioning/queer, and the I stands for intersex. Others include LGBT+ or LGBTA+, which is used to encompass the full spectrums of sexuality and gender.
Another label similar to LGBTA is GSRM, which stands for gender, sexuality, and romantic orientation minorities. Just like LGBTA+, GSRM is used to umbrella a larger spectrum of people.
