The LGBTA+ wikia is intended to be an a useful, and uniform resource. Therefor, before making a new page it's recomended that one read this page to unsure your page meets the suggested requirements.

    Required Sections

Definition: This definition can be short, but please write more than a single sentence. Even this orientation is easily explained, a short paragraph is preferable.

Flag: Please include a pride flag if applicable. High quality images are prefered (3000 x 5000 px).

Catagories: In an effort to insure that cataory pages don't get flooded with irrelivant pages, and to insure there aren't any redundant catagories there is an effort to make sure each page oly has one or two catagory tags. These are the curtain catagory tags used.

    • Ace-Spec Identity: Self explanitory. (Do not tag something as both ace-spec identity and aro-spec identity. If the page is about a prefix (for example, demi-) that can be used for a sexual and romantic oriantation then it should be made into two seperate pages (demisexual and demiromantic are seperate pages).
    • Aro-Spec identity: (It can sometimes be easy to confuse these two tags. Be sure to double check that you are tagging romantic orientations as aro-spec and sexual orientations as ace-spec.)
    • Gender: In an effort to not flood this tag, xenogender are NOT included in this category. (If you are not sure if your page counts as a xenogender please check the xenogender page and tag accordingly).
    • Microlabel: The microlabel tag is usually accompanied by the ace-spec identity, or the aro-spec identity tag, but please check the micro-label page to see if your page counts as a microlabel. (Also note, the microlabel tag MUST be accompanied by another tag. If it is not then it is not a microlabel.)
    • Sexuality: Self explanitory. Ace-spec and aro-spec identities should NOT be tagged as sexuality to avoid flooding the tag.
    • Terminology: This tag consists of pages for terms used by the LGBT community. It can also be used pages that do not neatly fit into the other tags, such as pages involving tertiary attractions and gender presentation.
    • Xenogender: Self explanitory. Please do NOT tag something as both gender and xenogender. Choose one or the other.

    Recommended Sections

These sections are not required but LGBTA+ wikia trys have as much information about an orientaion as possible. These are some recommendations to beef out your page.

History: Who coined this term? When and where did they do it? Is there any other interesting infomation about the origin of this term? (Please include sources.)

Flag: Who designed the flag and when? What is the meaning of the flag? (Sources are recommended but not required.)

Etymology: Is this term derived from another word? Those this term use roots from Latin or some other language? This section can be as short as a single sentence.

Resources: Obviously, sources are good to have, but are not nessisary as it can sometimes be hard to find things like the first recorded use of a term, especially for more obsure terms. If you do include sources please make sure your links are up to date.
