Idemflux, also known as Identityflux, Idemfluid or Identityfluid is an LGBTQ Identity that represents full fluidity in romantic attraction, sexual attraction, gender identity, aromantic status, asexual status, pronoun changes/status, polyamorous status or even platonic attraction. Idemflux is an identity which is defined by each (or just some) of an LGBTQ identity that changes during time. Changes in identity could be changed by mood, dysphoria, time or anything that constitutes a change. There are many ways for this identity to be perceived and interpreted. Many use this identity do validify their full extreme fluidity as a person/persons. This identity may also be used as an umbrella term for those who are Genderfluid/flux, Ace/Aroflux, Abrosexual/romantic, Fluidamorous, Platoniflux or even Pronounfluid.

Examples

Examples of ways this might be used:

EX 1: This is John. They are Idemflux and their identity is not strict. They like to use the label Idemflux because it best represents their identity, instead of queer, because they are sure that they are fully fluid.

EX 2: This is Amy. They are Idemflux and their identity is strict, but it changes. Right now, Amy identifies as an Agender AroAce person, but sometimes they identify as a Lesbian Woman. They like to use the term Idemflux because it best represents their identity too.

EX 3: This is Rob. They are Genderfluid*, and prefer that label**, but accepts that they fall under the Idemflux umbrella and appreciates that too.

EX 4: This is Jim. They are fluid in their gender, not in their sexuality, but they still like the label Idemflux more than genderfluid.

*This is an example, you do not have to be genderfluid to be Idemflux, you can be anything listed above

**Even if you by definition, are strictly genderfluid/anything on the list in particular, you can still identify with being idemflux primarily if you like this label.

History

Idemflux was invented by tumblr user Paramornal, who is also fandom user SmiledBeatle233. They invented this to have a better understanding of their own OSDD system.

Color 1: #916799: Purple with a grey-ish overtone. Represents full genderfluidity including, binary, non-binary gender, gender expression and absence of gender

The alternate flag for those who are idemflux is a "swirl" or "mix" of the original LGBTQ+ community rainbow flag, which represents a liquified fluidity between the whole LGBTQ+ spectrum.
