Abroromantic or abromantic is a romantic orientation on the multiromantic spectrum that refers to an individual whose romantic attraction is changing or fluid. It can be changes between any romantic identity, such as monoromantic, multiromantic, alloromantic or aromantic spectrum identities. The gender(s) one is attracted to may change, and the intensity of the attractions may change. While it is possible- and even common- for someone's romantic identity to shift or change in some way throughout their life, an abroromantic individual's attraction may change more frequently, over the course of hours, days, months, or years. Because of their inconsistent attraction, some abroromantic individuals may not feel compelled to seek out a relationship or may prefer a wavership.

Abroromantic may overlap with aroflux, however the difference is that, generally for aroflux individuals, when they feel attraction the gender(s) they're attracted to are always the same- the only thing that changes is how they're attracted to them or how intensely they're attracted to them. For abroromantic individuals, the gender(s) they are attracted to may change. The sexual counterpart is abrosexual.

    Etymology

The prefix abro- is derived either from the Ancient Greek word ἁβρός (habrós) or its Modern Greek descendant αβρός (avrós), meaning "delicate" or "graceful".
