Hetspike (also called heterospike) is a microlabel under heteroflexible, when someone experiences primarily opposite/dissimilar gender attraction or is otherwise straight, but very rarely, but suddenly and abruptly, experiences strong and intense spikes of same/similar gender attraction or otherwise gay attraction. These spikes are usually short lived, though, still occur. The opposite is Homospike. It doesnt always have to be sexual attraction, and may be other forms of attraction such as queerplatonic or romantic.

Hetspike was coined by FANDOM user Zer0Rebel4 on May 4th, 2021. The flags were also made on the same day and by the same user. The flags represent the sudden gay attraction in a sort of spike that one who is Hetspike experiences.
