Greyasexual or greysexual (also spelled as grayasexual) is a sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum. Greyasexuals may experience sexual attraction but very infrequently. Some greyasexual people may only feel sexual attraction once or twice in their life. Others, may experience it more frequently, but still not as frequently as most allosexual people. Greyasexual can also be used as an umbrella term for anyone who is ace-spec but is 100% asexual. This includes demisexuals, lithosexuals, and aceflux people, among others. In some ways greyasexuals can be described as being "in between" asexual and allosexual.
Other greyasexual experiences may include:
- Feeling sexual attraction but not desiring sex or sexual interactions.
- Feeling unsure about how to identify sexual attraction and consequently feeling unsure about having experienced it or not.
Greyasexual can be an orientation on its own or be combined with other sexual orientations. For example, one could be greysexual and gay (grey-homosexual), meaning that one rarely experiences sexual attraction, but when one does it's only towards people of the same gender.
The romantic counterpart to greyasexual is greyromantic.
