Gloomcoric is a coric aesthetigender related to gloomcore aesthetics, which primarily revolve around tranquil forests and misty beaches of the Pacific Northwest. Someone who is gloomcoric may be drawn to the calmness of one's surroundings, the peace dim lighting brings to oneself, and odd or otherworldly hobbies and interests.

The term was coined by FANDOM user Creacket on January 26, 2021. The flag was created by the same user on January 27, 2021. The colors of the are similar to the palette associated with gloomcore, which are colors found in the skyies where someone who is gloomcoric would thrive or associate.[1]
