    The girlflux flag

Girlflux or womanflux is a gender under the genderflux umbrella describing someone whose female gender fluctuates in intensity. This typically involves feeling strongly feminine sometimes and weakly feminine at other times. Girlflux people can fluctuate from feeling completely without gender to completely feminine or female. In between those extremes, one may feel slightly feminine, to half feminine, to mostly feminine—but not fully—, or any other amount of femininity. Some people may move smoothly between intensities while other people may quickly jump between intensities. Girlflux individuals may encompass genders such as paragirl, demigirl, librafeminine, juxera, gxrl, binary woman, and many other feminine genders. A girflux person may also experience other, non-feminine, genders, but this is not necessarily related to their girlflux identity.

    Hemigirlux

Hemigirlflux is a gender identity in which one fluctuates between 0% and 50% female or feminine.

Related identities include hemigirl, genderflux, demigender, demigirl, and demiflux.

    History

The terms boyflux and girlflux were coined by Tumblr user kitsuneshay on August 19, 2015 in order to describe their own identity.[1]

    Flag

    The original girlflux flag.

On the original girlflux flag, the three large stripes of pink represent varying levels of femininity. The meanings of the five small stripes are as follows: blue represents male and masculine genders, purple stands for genders between male and female, the green is there for genders outside of the binary, the white for the lack of gender like agenderness or similar identities, and grey for unknown or unnamed genders.

The girlflux flag was created by Tumblr user Social Isolation Recovery/sir-beingmyself. The black stripes represent a lack of gender. The white ones represent non-conforming, and the gray represents "not committed to only one thing." The light pink stripes represent all levels of femininity in-between agender and female, and the dark pink stripe represents full femininity.

On the alternate flag, the varying colors of pink/red represent the fluctuating intensity of the female identity, and the tan stripe in the middle represents agender, or a lack of gender.
