    Gae pride flag

Gae, or gæ, is an LGBTA+ term that is used to describe anyone who is not cishet or is an ally. Gae is similar to the term queer, as both describe people who are not cishet, but the difference is that gae also includes allies.

    Flag

The gae pride flag was made by a user who goes by Shawn on 10/27/2020.

The flag depicts blue, pink, and yellow representing male, female, and non-binary. In the middle of the flag is a rainbow star, representing the gay pride flag.

On 12/05/2020, the user SquirreIstar on Scratch created a second version of the gae pride flag. She quotes, "The colours in the background represent the gender identities (blue for male, purple for mixed, red for female, yellow for nonbinary) The star in the middle still has the LGBTQ pride flag, but with a seventh white stripe to represent a sense of openness and freedom."

    Origin

The term "gae" comes from the LGBTQ+ studio on Scratch. It was originally an alternate spelling of gay, but its definition was changed. Gae has no relation to gaesexual.
