Fraylabel is a term that describes when one's connection to their labels fades over time, until they feel completely disconnected to the labels that once fit them. They may feel like their labels get old, and don't describe them anymore.
This can be used for all types of labels, including orientation labels, gender labels, or both.
History
Fraylabel was coined by FANDOM user Queer sunflower on July 29, 2021.[1]
