Floragender is a gender that is influenced by or related to plants. Floragender can be used as a specific term, referring to a gender is related to many plants, or as a term referring to a gender related to plants in general. It can also be used as an umbrella term for genders that related to a specific type of plant, similar to faunagender for genders related to animals.
Floragender individuals might be relate their gender to the qualities, aesthetics, or metaphor of plants or just have a strong connection to plants. Floragenders can be kingenders but do not necessarily have to be.

The original coiner of floragender is unknown, and it is believed that any trace of its origins are long lost.[1] The term has been in use since at least August 2014.[2][3] The floragender flag was created by Tumblr user genderqueer-dream on February 5, 2019.[4]
An alternative floragender flag was created by an anonymous creator on November 12, 2020. Another alternate flag was created by FANDOM user Robinary on January 3, 2021. Both alternate flags are designed to represent spring, flowers, and nature.
