Existigender, also known as pensgender, cognogender, cogitogender, opinogender, or filogender, is a gender that only exists when one think actively thinks about it. When one does not think about or explore their gender or gender identity, they do not have one, or it feels quiet until called to attention. One feels genderless until they think about their gender, at which point they can "choose" which gender to identify with or have.
Subsets
Existigender can be combined with any other gender to specify the nature of one's existigender.
Existiboy
An existiboy is someone who is only a boy when thinking about or exploring their gender or gender identity.
Existigirl
An existigirl is someone who is only a girl when thinking about or exploring their gender or gender identity.
Existinonbinary
An existinonbinary person is someone who is only non-binary when thinking about or exploring their gender or gender identity.
History and Flag
Existigender was originally coined filogender by an anonymous creator on or before January 25, 2015.[1] The first existigender flag was created by DeviantArt user Pride-Flags on August 17, 2015.[2] This flag also doubles as the existinonbinary flag. An existigirl flag and an existiboy flag were created later that day.[3][4]
An alternate existogender flag was created by DeviantArt user Helkie-three on September 3, 2015.[5]
