Femache is a non-binary gender in which one simultaneously experiences maleness or masculinity and femaleness or femininity. It is similar to androgyne, however androgyne is typically described as one gender that exists somewhere in between male and female, while femache is typically described as when one experiences a male gender and a female gender at the same time. One may or may not experience other genders. Femache does not necessarily have to be a 50/50 split.
It can also be considered a combination of juxera and proxvir.
History
Femache was coined via beyond-mogai-pride-flags on October 1, 2018[1]. The name is a combination of the Spanish/Portuguese words fêmea/fembra and macho but with an -e suffixed to make the word neutral. The flag is a combination of the male and female stamp flags made by Bentonthefoxkin on DeviantArt.[2][3]
Arco-pluris then suggested other words, since some pointed out it's too similar to headache in English: machembre, femal[4] and macheme.[5]
