Emicis is a gender modality where one feels heavily related to their AGAB, which makes them comfortable with going by cisgender even though they're not cisgender.
For example: a demigirl who is AFAB may go as a cis female although they are not a cis female.
Gender labels that are similar to this one are personagender, anesigender, cisn't, and adgender.
History
The term was coined by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz in 2021 with no specified date; however, the name and flag were coined on July 29, 2021.
Flag
The colours are heavily inspired by the alt cisgender flags and (mostly) the adgender flag colour scheme, the white stripe in the middle is meant to represent how one isn't actually cisgender.
Etymology
The prefix emi- was inspired by the prefixes demi-, hemi-, and semi-.
