Eligereromantic is an identity for people who feel that they can choose if they feel romantic attraction to certain people or not. For example, someone who is eligereromantic may be feeling aromantic, but then when someone asks them out, they "choose" to feel attraction towards them for the benefit of the relationship. Another example is where someone focuses on another person a lot, and chooses to feel romantic attraction to them because they want a romantic relationship with that person.
People who are eligeresexual feel that their romantic attraction is something that they can choose where it directs to, and choose whether to feel romantic attraction or not. The sexual counterpart is eligeresexual.
This is similar to but not the same as lovesexual.
