It is a multi-sexual identity where one’s orientation may change depending on the gender of a person, the orientations that a person bounces from is limited to only those on the Ace-Spectrum. An example would be; being Aegosexual towards girls, Demisexual towards boys, and Reciprosexual towards enbies.
Dynamasexual will sometimes go hand-in-hand with Aceflux, wherein the strength of someone’s asexuality may change day-to-day; Such as going from a sex-repulsed ace to demisexual ace, etc. However it is not required that a person must be Aceflux in order to experience Dynamasexuality.
Etymology
The prefix Dynama- comes from the english word “Dynamic” meaning a constant change in activity or progress. This is to reflect the dynamic response one’s asexuality may give in reaction to certain genders.
History
Originally called “Agensexual” by it’s creator reddit user; MassiveMarionberry97 before being change to “Dynamasexual” by a suggestion from reddit user; CUPS_818.
The Dynamasexual flag and meaning was coined on the sub-reddit r/queervexilology . It used to go by “Agensexual” due to MassiveMarionberry97 not knowing that Agensexual was a pre-existing sexuality, however CUPS_818 proposed the name “Dynamasexual” to be it’s replacement.
Flag
The first version of the flag was made by reddit user; MassiveMarionberry97. The flag has a black and dark purple border on the top and bottom, with three dark stripes in the middle; coloured pink, yellow, and indigo. A copy-pasted image of the flag is over-layed ontop of it vertically. It is unknown what the meaning behind the colours and design of the flag are — however it was implied the purple and pink represent “the different ace experiences one can go through”.
A second version of the flag was made by reddit user; CUPS_818. The flag has a black border on the top representing “asexuality”, and a purple border on the bottom representing “the asexual community and ace-spectrum”. In the middle are three stripes; dark purple for “sexual experience”, white for “emotional bonds”, and bright purple for “romantic experience”. Meanwhile a grey bar intersecting the three stripes, representing “Greysexuality” and how the three stripes “make up for different ace experiences”. The black and purple border covers the whole flag to show how all Ace experiences are part of the Ace-Spectrum and community.
