Dragongender is a gender which is reflected by dragons.

Dragongender has also been recoined to refer to a xenogender that is strongly connected to dragons, either identifying as such or incorporating their concept into one's gender to better understand it. This does not have to be a kingender. One who identifies as dragongender may refer to themselves as "dragongirl," "dragonboy," or "drenby", depending on their other gender identity/identities. Since the dragongender flags and concept use fiery symbolism, an alternate gender, cryodragongender, exists for those whose gender feels connected to ice dragons.

    History

Dragongender was originally coined by an anonymous user via the DeviantArt account PrideFlags, on or before January 17th, 2017.[1]

Dragongender was recoined on or before December 19th, 2020, seemingly via the creation of this article - which was created by FANDOM user SaphYuu.[2] The recoined definition was credited to FANDOM user Trashwoof, "(Credits to Trashwoof for the definition)", and the history section of the page claimed that "Dragongender was created by FANDOM user NotAnix on December 19th 2020" - NotAnix seemingly being the previous name of the account SaphYuu.[3]

    Flag

The original dragongender flag was designed by Mod Hermy from the Pride-Flags DeviantArt account (chosen from Pride-Flags's flag scraps folder by the anonymous user who originally coined the term). The flag's colors aesthetically represent a dragon breathing fire.

The dragongender flag was created by user SaphYuu (now PrinceLuci) on December 19, 2020.[4]
