Disakoisexual [dis-a-koi-sex-u-al] is an orientation on the asexual spectrum. Someone who is disakoisexual may experience the want to feel sexual attraction from someone else onto themselves, but are unable to reciprocate it back due to being only able to feel physical/aesthetic attraction, or being sex-repulsed, or just being asexual in general. This does not mean that they cannot be in a sexual relationship with said person(s).
Some things disakoisexuals may experience
- Fantasizing about being in a sexual relationship with someone, but when presented with someone who likes them in that way, are unable to give back those sexual feelings. (Though they may still feel aesthetic/physical/sensual attraction to them.)
- Being unable to reciprocate, or give back, sexual feelings to someone who sexually likes them, even if they try really hard to.
- Feeling only aesthetic, sensual, or physical attraction.
Disakoisexual can be considered the exact opposite of lithosexual/akoisexual (which is where it got most of its name from.)
This sexual orientation can matched with other sexual and romantic orientations. Someone who is disakoisexual can also be homosexual/gay, heterosexual/straight, bisexual, asexual, etc. It can also be matched with romantic orientations. As long as it is who you are, it is valid and can be matched with it.
The romantic counterpart to disakoisexual is disakoiromantic. The platonic counterpart to disakoisexual is disakoiplatonic. (this part of the page will be updated as soon as the page for it goes up for linking purposes.)
