A Competitive Relationship is a form of polyamory, specifically a form of hierarchal polyamory, in which the 'importance and status' of each partner comes from monthly competitions. These competitions may vary, from sports to video games, but its all in good fun. There is, of course, three 'places' on may win; primary, secondary, and tertiary.

The primary winners get to make the top decisions and have top importance for the month. The secondary winners get to make secondary choices, and are given the second most attention, while the tertiary group gets little decision during the month. These decisions can vary from vacations and trips, resturaunts and dates, and so on, depending on the relationship dynamic and hobbies. Like in all relationships, consent and communication is vital for this to be a healthy relationship type.

    History

The term competitive relationship was first referenced as a joke by FANDOM user CryingAt4am on December 16th, 2020 on the casual relationship page. They stated "this implies competitive relationships exist." After several weeks of pondering, user Cryptocrew decided to coin it into an actual term on December 27th, 2020.

    Flag

The flag was coined by one of the system members of Cryptocrew who goes by Artemis on December 27th, 2020. The three hearts on three pedestals stand for the three groups of competition. Dark pink stands for love, mid-pink stands for playfullness, light pink stands for trust and consent. Red stands for decisions and importance, blue stands for fun and love, and green stands for respect for others and their decisions. The gold stands for unique-ness and special bonds.
