Chest sofrimento is an umbrella term used to describe an individual who feels disconnect, dysphoria, and/or dysmorphia towards their chest. This could be due to one's gender identity, altersex identity, intersex body, trauma, neurodivergency, or anything else.

One who has chest sofrimento may also experience NCST sofrimento, genital sofrimento, and/or gonadal sofrimento. Chest sofrimento can be experienced by anyone, regardless of whether they are cisgender, transgender, non-binary, anonbinary, etc.

One with this may experience chest euphoria as well.

    Chest Dysphoria

Chest dysphoria is a feeling of discomfort, distress, or self hatred stemming from a disconnect between one's internal desire of chest-type and ones actual chest-type, due to the fact that one feels as though their chest does not correctly represent their gender identity.

An example of this would be an intergirl with AFAB hypogonadism (which causes them not to grow breasts) who desires breasts, and feels as though their flat chest misrepresents their own personal sense of gender. This means that their chest causes gender dysphoria, and thus also classifies as chest dysphoria.

    Chest Dysmorphia

Chest dysmorphia is a feeling of discomfort, distress, or self hatred towards ones chest, that causes or comes from a desire for a different type of chest (or no breast/chest at all.)

The difference between this and chest dysphoria, is that chest dysmorphia isn't related to ones gender identity, while chest dysphoria is. For example, one may be an AMAB cisgender man, but feel dysmorphic towards their flat chest, and desire breasts instead. This has nothing to do with their gender, as sex and gender aren't always connected or related to some people.
