Centrgender, also spelled centergender, is a gender modality that describes someone who feels as though they do not fit into either category of cis or trans.

    The centrgender flag.
    Centregender Symbol

Centrgender can be used as a specific identity, or as an umbrella term for anyone who isn't cis or trans. Someone could identify as centrgender while also identifying as Absgender, for example. This is an all inclusive term that any person may use as long as they aren't fully cisgender.

A centrgender person does not identify (fully or at all) with their AGAB, and therefore isn’t cisgender, but does not feel a connection to the label transgender. They may even feel as though they fall in the middle of these two.

Centrgender can be modified with terms like: centercis (where one doesn't identify as cis or trans, but feels that cis fits more than trans), and centrtrans (where one doesn't identify as cis or trans, but feels that trans fits more than cis).

    Flag & Symbol

The centrgender flag was made by discord users Asthore and emsydacat on July 31, 2021.

The centregender symbol was made by wiki user WiiFyneLM on October 28th, 2021 for an LGBT+ symbols poster.

    History

This term was coined by Rat0Meat on July 28, 2021. They wanted all-inclusive term for being neither cis nor trans. The subsets centrcis and centrtrans were proposed by reddit user u/hiitsyaz two days later.

    Etymology

"Centr" is the latin route for "center", which is why the term can be spelled both ways.
