Boolegender is a subset of genderfluid or genderflux where one's gender is either present or absent, with no middle ground between those two states. One can either be completely comgender or completely agender, with no in between. Boolegender can be a gender on it's own or it can be completed with other gender (boolegirl, booleboy, boolenonbinary, etc.) For example a booleboy is either 100% male, or completely agender. They do not experience in between genders like libramasculine, demiboy, or paraboy.

Boolegender is a subset of genderfluid or genderflux where one's gender is either present or absent, with no middle ground between those two states. One can either be completely comgender or completely agender, with no in between. Boolegender can be a gender on its own or it can be completed with other genders (boolegirl, booleboy, boolenonbinary, etc.) For example, a booleboy is either 100% male, or completely agender. They do not experience "in between" genders like libramasculine, demiboy, or paraboy.

This term is similar to, but not the same as, axigender. The main difference is that for axigender individuals, their gender (other than agender) doesn't have to be a "full" gender. It can be a partial gender, unlike boolegender, which has to be a full gender.

    History

The term was coined by Tumblr user applearo on July 5, 2019.[1]

    Flag

The flag was created by Tumblr user applearo on July 5, 2019. White represents the absence of gender. Black represents the presence of gender. Orange represents switching between these states.

The booleman, boolewoman and boolenban flags were also created by that user on the same date. They have no confirmed meanings, although they are based off the original boolegender flag.
