Booklosexual or novelosexual is a fictosexuality in which one has the exclusive or nearly exclusive attraction to characters in novels. This could include visual novels, but it does not have to. People who are booklosexual find little to no attraction to real people, which puts them under the a-spec category.

History
Booklosexual was coined by a user going by Anderson on November 29th, 2020 to describe people who dont fit the animesexual or cartosexual identities.
Flag
The booklosexual and blookloromantic flags were coined by FANDOM user Clear.Skyes on December 28th, 2020. It was made to look like the spine of a book, with the middle green stripes representing sexual attraction. The blue represents romantic attraction.
Booklosexuality vs paraphillia
Booklosexuality is often confused with a paraphillia, however, this is by definition an incorrect case. Paraphillias are known as sexual disorders and harmful desires, often leading to the distress of the person experiencing them and/or those around them.
Booklosexuality, however, does not usually cause harm, as it does not influence or promote any harmful or dangerous acts, and is simply a desire/attraction to one who does not exist outside of novels. In some cases, one who is booklosexual may feel levels of distress due to being unable to have sexual feelings for people in reality, however this does not mean that everyone who is booklosexual feels this way, nor does it mean booklosexuality is bad.
Booklosexuality does not include attraction to harmful fictional tropes and those with harmful attractions are not the target group for booklosexuals.
