    Birdgender flag

Birdgender is a xenogender in which someone feels a strong connection to birds, either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. This term can be related to a specific species of bird, or just birds in general. In the case of the former someone might use the name of the bird as the gender descriptor, for example, sparrowgender, hummingbirdgender, or hawkgender. They could also identify with a specific group of bird species such as songbirds. Anyone can identify as birdgender. Birdgender can also be a way for someone to describe how they experience their gender, for instance a person could identify as a birdgender girl.

One who identifies as birdgender may refer to themself as a boy, girl, non-binary, or simply birdgender or another combination, depending on their gender identity. It is a faunagender and may also be a kingender.
