Binaryn’t (also known as not binary) is an umbrella term for anyone who is not binary. It is not exclusive to non-binary individuals, as not all not binary individuals identify as non-binary. Even though non-binary may apply to them, they may not identify primarily as non-binary, because they do not feel they experience the non-binary experience. Binaryn't includes other identities, such as anonbinary, antibinary, deminonbinary, etc. as well as non-binary.
History
Binaryn't was likely first used as a comical way to say non-binary,[1] but started being used as a genuine identity label some point on or before February 26, 2019.[2]
Flag
The flag was designed by Tumblr user Arco-Pluris on Beyond-MOGAI-Pride Flags on February 26, 2019. The flag's colors are a mix of the anonbinary and abinary flags, the purple and black colors from non-binary flag.[2]
