Autisexual is a sexuality, which can only be understood in the context of being autistic or when one's autism greatly affects one's sexuality or how one experiences sexuality. Autisexual is not autism as a sexuality, or attraction to Autistic people, but rather describes an experience of sexuality that is so heavily influenced by being autism that one's autism and one's experience of sexuality cannot be unlinked.
Autistic people's sexuality can be influnced by being Autistic in many way. Since sexuality is a social construct created by allistics/neurotypicals, and social constructs are something that many Autistic people dislike/don't understand. Autistic people often a strong sense of justice or pritorise their believes in what's justice over what's social acceptable. There are many people who may feel like being autistic influences their experience, perception, or understanding of sexuality. Autistic There are many studies that show that autistic people are more likely to be not straight. Autistic people may also face unique challenges in coming out. Autisexuality is a way to express this and to find others with similar expierences of sexuality.
Not all autistic people identify as autisexual, only those whose sexuality is influenced by them being autistic. Autigender is an exclusive idenitiy and exclusive sexaulity as, obviously, allistic people cannot have a gender influenced by autism.
