    The aromid flag.

Aromid is an identity that describes someone that is strictly aromantic, but not strictly asexual, while still being on the asexual spectrum. Someone who is aromantic and grey-bisexual, for example, could call themselves aromid.

The term can also be combined with a sexuality, or used as a sole identity. The same individual above could call themselves a bi aromid.

    History

It was publicly coined November 21, 2019, and made in mind for individuals who felt limited by not using the split attraction model, or in choosing to simplify their identity as either 'aroace' or 'aro allo'. Along it the terms acemid and amid were coined, all with similar intentions.[1]

Those who are on both the aro and ace spectrum but not strictly both aromantic and strictly asexual all fall under the mid label, which is the collective term for acemids, amids, and aromids.

The aromid flag is pictured to the right. It is an amalgamation of the aroace flag by aroaesflags[2]. In place of the orange and yellow are shades of green for aromantism.
