    The acemid flag.

Acemid is an orientation that describes someone that is strictly asexual, but not strictly aromantic, while still being on the aromantic spectrum. Someone who is asexual and aroflux-diamoric, for example, could call themselves acemid.

This term can be combined with a sexual orientation, or used as an identity on its own. The same individual above could choose to call themselves a diamoric acemid.

    History

Acemid was publicly coined November 21, 2019, and made in mind for individuals who felt limited by not using the split attraction model, or in choosing to simplify their identity as either 'aroace' or 'alloace'. Along it the terms aromid and amid were coined, all with similar intentions.[1]

Those who are on both the aro and ace spectrum but not strictly both aromantic and strictly asexual all fall under the mid label, which is the collective term for acemids, amids, and aromids.

    Flag

The acemid flag is pictured to the right. It is an amalgamation of the aroace flag by aroaesflags[2]. In place of the orange and yellow are shades of purple for asexuality.
