    The aroace-spec flag
The ay-spec flag and an alternate aroace-spec flag.
An aroace flag, made with aroace-specs in mind.

The aroace spectrum, aroace-spec, ay-spec, or aroace umbrella is a group of orientations that all fall under both the asexual spectum and the aromantic spectrum, falling under the umbrella term of aroace. People on the aroace spectrum may lack sexual attraction and romantic attraction, or feel it so little that they relate more to the aroace experience than to the allosexual and alloromantic experience. The common link between people on the aroace spectrum is that they don't feel the "standard" amount of sexual and romantic attraction, or they don't feel it in the "standard" way, that allosexual and alloromantic people do.

People on the aroace spectrum are often referred to as "aroace-spec" for short. Aroace-spec people can sometimes have romantic or sexual orientations alongside aroace, as well as tertiary attraction.

    Flag

The aroace-spec flag was created by an anonymous wiki user on April 8, 2021. It is a combination of the ace-spec and aro-spec flags.

The ay-spec flag/alternate aroace-spec flag was created by Tumblr user neopronouns on November 14, 2020.[1] The meaning of the flag is unknown.

The aroace flag was made by Tumblr user theflagarchive on August 7, 2020 with aroace-spec individuals in mind.[2] The stripes are a blend of their ace-spec and aro-spec flags, and have the following meanings: Green is for a lack of, or differing experiences with, romantic attraction, pale blue is for diversity in experiences and attraction, purple is for a lack of, or differing experiences with, romantic attraction, and dark blue is for the community, history, and solidarity. The aroace-spec flag can be used by any person who considers both their romantic and sexual attraction to be "aspec" in some way, including those who identify strictly as aroace or spadillic.
