    The arkhaigender flag.
The arkhaigender flag without the emblem.

Arkhaigender is a gender related to the feeling of going on a “grand quest” in search of additional parts of one’s gender identity that they know are there but have yet to be fully figured out, similar to how a hero may set off on a quest to search for a prophesied treasure. This is a xenine and neutral leaning gender that can also be influenced by Ancient Greek aesthetics, bright/pastel colors, and shades of teal, olive, and green.

The masculine counterpart is archaeogender and the feminine counterpart is arcaneagender.

    History

The term was coined by FANDOM user Snailrat on May 5, 2021, with the flags being created at the same time.

    Flags

The two teal stripes at the top and the two olive green stripes at the bottom of the flag represent colors commonly associated with xeninity, adventures, and classic legends, while the gold stripes in the center represent the core pieces of one’s gender identity, whether they have discovered all of it or not.

The emblem present in the first flag is of an old sheet of paper with a compass and an “x,” showing this gender’s connection to exploration and Ancient Greek aesthetics.

    Etymology

The name of this gender comes from the Greek word "arkhaios," meaning "ancient."
