Amogusgender is a xenogender and memegender for people who have a strong connection to or hyperfixation on the "Amogus" edit memes and identify with it to better understand their gender. Amogusgender in particular is meant for neurodivergent people and autistic people who have a different experience with their gender but can also be used by neurotypical people as well.

It is similar to susgender.

History and Flag

The term was created by Scratch user 10kProjects at an unknown date, somewhere around February 2021. The colors of the original amogusgender flag primarily represent each of the colors of the amogus character.^[1] The colors also represent the intensity of an individual's connection to the gender or its fluctuation in intensity, known as amogusgenderflux, as well as different parts of the gender and how some perceive it personally. It includes a high-definition version of the character.

On May 10, 2021, the current amogusgender flag was created by Unfunny person420. The high-definition character in the center is replaced by a white silhouette of the character.

Potential Controversy/Harm

While amogusgender is itself a valid identity, it is controversial due to being based on a meme based on a comic which was first created by a Nazi.[1] The creator of the amogus meme based it on comics by a Nazi. Though this gender is based on an edit meant to mock the original creator, it is still heavily associated with the original Nazi creator and therefore, while the identity itself is valid, it is still controversial and potentially harmful due to its strong association with a Neo-Nazi.
