Alolagender is a xenogender where one's gender is strongly influenced by or is connected to the Pokémon region Alola, Alolan Pokémon, characters from Alola or the story of the generation seven games, due to neurodivergence.
Similar terms include Kantogender, Johtogender, Hoenngender, Sinnohgender, Unovagender, Kalosgender and Galargender.
History and flag
Alolagender was coined on December 13, 2020 by twitter user miracIemask. The flag was created at the same time. It is said to have been inspired by the Tapus, who are Legendary Pokemon said to guard the islands Alola is made out of.[1]
