    the aeregender flag

    Aeregender is a term for when one doesn't know what their gender is, but has a vague idea.

    Subgenders

    • Aeremin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s masculine in some way.
    • Aerefin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s feminine in some way.
    • Aerenin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s not masculine or feminine. Or, you don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s non-binary.
    • Aerelin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s in-between, both, or fluid between between masculine and feminine.
    • Aeragin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you think you might be agender or on the agender spectrum.
    • Aeraneur: You don’t know what your gender is, and you know that’s because of your illness making it difficult. Or, you don’t know what your gender is, but your illness seems to have some effect on it.
    • Aerethni: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s not part of the Western male/female concepts.
    • Aerefluid: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s fluid in some way. Or, you don’t know what your gender is, but you know it fluctuates between different energies. (Masculine, feminine, neither, etc.)
    • Aereflux: Sometimes you know what your gender is, and sometimes it’s just a big question mark. Or, you don’t know what your gender is, but how close you are to knowing varies.
    • Aerain: You don’t know what your gender is, but it’s not masculine, feminine, neutral, or agender.
    • Aereun: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s neutral or isn’t masculine or feminine, but also not agender.
    • Aerantin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s outside the gender trinary. (Atrinary, nontrinary, anontrinary)
    • Aerabin: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s outside the gender binary. (Abinary, anonbinary)
    • Aerinte: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s affected by your intersex condition.
    • Aerezen: You don’t know what your gender is, but you know it’s xenine, xenic, or a xenogender in some way.
    • Aereplur: You don’t know what your gender is, but it fits multiple categories. (Multigender)

    History

    Aeregender and its subgenders were originally coined by system-lgbt [1] in 2018. Flags were later created by angel-pride on February 7th, 2021. [2]

    Flags

    The darker shades of color are what has been distinguished, the lighter is what may be there, both shades of gray are for the unknown, and the colors were picked mostly on associations and less specific meanings.

    Etymology

    The term comes from the Latin word “quaerere,” which means ‘to ask/search/question’.
