Acoplatonic (or acorplatonic) is an identity on aplatonic spectrum that refers to someone who experiences platonic attraction that they want to act on, but at the same time has a strong aversion to engaging in it due to bad experiences, apprehension, or other misgivings about being involved in platonic relationships or activities involved in a platonic relationship, etc.

Acoplatonic can be combined with other identities, for example, acorbiplatonic. An acoplatonic person might not identify as aplatonic or apl-spec, however acoplatonic is considered an apl-spec identity because one does not experience platonic attraction in the "correct" way as deemed by society.

Acoplatonic is typically used by people with PTSD or other trauma involving platonic experiences. It can also be used by those whose neurodivergence or disability could cause apprehension about acting on one's platonic attraction. However, the term is not exclusive to these groups.

The acoplatonic flag was created on July 1, 2018, by beyond-mogai-pride-flags on Tumblr.[1] The flag's color meanings are currently unknown.

The alternate flag was coined on June 22nd, 2021, by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz. The flag appears to have been inspired by the primary acorplatonic flag.
