Abigender, also called bxgender, Biagender, or Librabigender is a gender that is both agender and bigender, or is somewhere in between those two identities. It is a gender that in which one experiences two genders but also has a connection to genderlessness and/or agendered feelings.

Similar terms are demiagender and demibigender.

    History

Abigender was coined by Tumblr user Neopronouns on June 28, 2020.[1]

    Flag

The primary abigender flag was designed by Tumblr user neopronouns June 28, 2020, the flags were based on the panagender flag, the original with a white stripe and second with a pale yellow in order to include the yellow from the bigender flag.[1]

    Etymology

The prefixes abi- and bia- are mixtures of the prefixes for agender and bigender. Bx- is a derivative of the prefix bi-, replacing the i with an x as if one is crossing out that they're bigender, which is common practice for agender identities. The prefix librabi- is a combination of the prefixes for bigender and libragender, a gender identity that is partially agender and partially another gender.
