    The Abaromantic flag.

Abaromantic (pronounced Ah-bah-romantic) is an orientation describing one who was once aromantic, but due to trauma of either a romantic or non-romantic variety, has become alloromantic. It is a counterpart to caedromantic.

Abaromantic is only to be used by those who have experienced or are currently experiencing trauma.

Abaromantic people may be attracted to any gender. For instance, someone who is abaromantic and homoromantic was previously attracted to no one, but after one or more traumatic events, is now attracted to the same gender as themselves.

The sexual equivalent of abaromantic is abasexual.

    Etymology.

The prefix "aba" is derived from the Latin word abactius, meaning "stolen", to describe the feeling an abaromantic individual may have that their orientation was stolen from them.
