Abandoe is a gender similar to that of an abandoned house- it could feel dead/genderless or have themes of being empty and intimidating. It may also be related to Kenopsicore; dusty colors; rubble; shattered windows; and eerie vibes/feelings.

History

Abandoe was coined on June 1, 2019, by Tumblr user wavership. The flag was created at the same time by Tumblr user genderrose.^[1]^[2]

The original definition only referred to abandoned houses and intimidating emptiness. FANDOM user Daccharine expanded onto the definition and created the two alternate flags on January 11, 2021.
