The .flowgender alignment system's main flag.

.flowgender is an umbrella term/alignment system term for xenogenders in which one's gender identity feels as if it is connected to the Yume Nikki fangame, .flow. .flowgender-identifying individuals may feel as if their gender is connected to one or more characters, an aspect of the game, or the entire game itself.

CW/TW: .flow contains gory/unsettling content some individuals may find disturbing, and some genders here are connected to the unsettling aspects of the game. This also contains spoilers for the game. Please read at your own risk.

    Characters

    Sabigender

Sabigender is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to the protagonist of .flow, Sabitsuki. This may be a kingender, but Sabigender-identifying individuals feel as if their gender has always been deteriorating or rusting away slowly for either any or no apparent reason.

    • Sabigender (variant 1) is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to another playable character of .flow, Rust, Sabitsuki's other form. This may be a kingender or a -flux/-spike related gender. Sabigender v1 can be described as when you recover or save your gender from rusting away, or it recovers itself, but only temporarily. This may be a one-time experience or it could happen frequently.

    Egaogender

Egaogender is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to the primary antagonist of .flow, Smile. This may be a kingender, but Egaogender-identifying individuals may be gendercollectors/genderhoarders or have only a few other genders and want to protect their gender(s) or the way they present. For example, someone may make them present or identify femininely while they want to present or identify masculinely, due to having a masculine gender(s) but no feminine gender(s), so they may stick up for the way they want to present/identify.

    Kaibugender

Kaibugender is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to the secondary antagonists of .flow, the Kaibutsu. This may be a kingender or mutogender, but Kaibugender-identifying individuals may feel as if their gender can be described as feeling as if their gender has been rusting away but is not entirely gone, and is normally/mostly clean or entirely present, but not fully, and on some occasions, their gender may disappear due to the condition of their gender rusting away. Their gender will come back, though, and on the occasion of their gender disappearing, it may or may not disappear completely. A more rusted form is Taijigender.

    Taijigender

Taijigender is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to the secondary antagonists' second form, the Red Demons/Fetuses. This may be a kingender, but Taijigender-identifying individuals may feel as if their gender has entirely rusted away for either any or no reason and is not present, feels gory and dead and cannot be recovered. A less rusted form is Kaibugender.

    Kiirogender

Kiirogender is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to a side character of .flow, an unnamed girl in a yellow dress, who's also called Sugar Girl, Vomit Girl, Yellow Dress Girl, and Sabitsuki's mother. This may be a kingender, but Kiirogender-identifying individuals may feel as if they didn't know what their gender was like before, and now their gender may feel desolate, rusted in place, dormant, but still there.

    Orekogender

Orekogender is a xenogender under the .flowgender alignment system in which one's gender feels connected to an ally of Sabitsuki's, Oreko. This may be a kingender, but Orekogender-identifying individuals may feel as if their gender can be described as slightly rusting away, but mostly there. They may also describe it as positive, happy, and innocent, but slightly damaged/rusted.

    Events

Sabigender (variant 2) can be described as having a gender that used to be deteriorating or rusting away slowly for either no apparent reason, but after any change in their life, caused voluntarily or not, their gender quickly healed and came back (although it may or may not have been there in the first place). This can also be connected to the ending of .flow.
