The zeloromantic flag designed by wiki user Cutecrip.

Zeloromantic is an aro-spec identity for when one becomes hyperromantic upon initiating a romantic relationship. Zeloromantics can be alloromantic, aromantic, or anything else in between. The key feature of this identity is the switch to hyperromantic that occurs upon starting the romantic relationship, regardless of the persons initial romantic orientation. They may feel love towards their romantic partner as if they have been together for years, even if they have only been together for a week. Zeloromantics may consider all their relationships serious from the moment they start due to their feelings of commitment to their partner.

    History

The term zeloromantic was coined by wiki user Cutecrip on the 17th of June 2021. This page is the original source of the term.

    Flag

The zeloromantic flag is composed of two exterior light blue stripes, followed by another two pale yellow stripes, followed by two lilac stripes with a mint green stripe in the centre.

The green represents the aromantic spectrum, the purple represents the passion felt during a relationship, yellow represents the platonic attraction that will commonly accompany the hyperromantic feelings towards an zeloromantic persons partner, and the blue represents the intense pain that can follow when a relationship fails.

    Etymology

The term zeloromantic comes from the latin word, "zelo", meaning "zeal" or "to love ardently". This is in reference to the hyperromantic feelings experienced when in a relationship.
