Xenial attraction, also known as pragmatic attraction, is a form of attraction based on hospitality. It is the sort of relationship portrayed or felt to fulfill a goal. It is exclusive to caretakers, escorts, service workers, doctors, therapists, hotel workers, and others who do a service that requires emotional engagement with another person, in return for some gain.
History
Xenial attraction appears to be coined on February 10, 2019 by system-lgbt.[1] The name is based off xenia, the ancient Greek rule of hospitality.[2]
