The term is controversial due to its inherent exclusion of nonbinary identifying individuals. Because the term exists only to define attraction between binary women, cis and trans, it is seen as exclusionary. This has caused opposers of the term to believe vixens are inherently enbyphobic and transphobic for not expressing attraction to nonbinary individuals and preferring to only be with other binary women. The term "vixenamoric" expressly includes trans women as the creator has stated multiple times<ref>https://twitter.com/ssapphrodite/status/1278375237072105472?s=20</ref><ref>https://twitter.com/ssapphrodite/status/1278384261213626368?s=20</ref><ref>https://twitter.com/ssapphrodite/status/1278400685399293952?s=20</ref><ref>https://twitter.com/ssapphrodite/status/1278446433843261442?s=20</ref><ref>https://twitter.com/ssapphrodite/status/1278978808675209216?s=20</ref>. |

Controversial: This identity can be viewed as exclusionary due to the fact that it includes only binary cis and trans women.
Vixenamoric is a term for strictly women loving women. It was coined on June 30, 2020 by Twitter users @ssapphrodite and @viixenyy to distinguish lesbians who are attracted only to binary women from nonbinary people[1]. The purpose is to "separate strictly women who love women from hesbians [he/him lesbians]/theysbians [they/them lesbians]"[2], meaning vixenamoria can be a subset of lesbianism, describing exclusive attraction for binary women from binary women. The term can be used by itself as "vixenamoric" or in conjunction with lesbian as "vixenamoric lesbian". When referring to oneself, a vixenamoric woman may call herself "vixen" or "vixie".
Controversy
The term is controversial due to its inherent exclusion of nonbinary identifying individuals. Because the term exists only to define attraction between binary women, cis and trans, it is seen as exclusionary. This has caused opposers of the term to believe vixens are inherently enbyphobic and transphobic for not expressing attraction to nonbinary individuals and preferring to only be with other binary women. The term "vixenamoric" expressly includes trans women as the creator has stated multiple times[3][4][5][6][7].
